The 9th edition of Navalia consolidates it as the first fair in Spain in the shipbuilding sector and manages to place itself among the top three in southern Europe. The biennial fair is held every two years.

Among the sectors that were represented, we highlight:

• Maritime services
• Auxiliary industry
• Engineering services
• Shipowners
• Financial services
• Port authorities and maritime security

The fair has more than 900 brands represented and 400 exhibitors and, in its last edition, it welcomed around 20,000 visitors. These figures speak of the importance of Vigo as an international shipbuilding power, since only from this industrial leadership can a showcase of the power and relevance of Navalia be organized.

In this sense, the SALT team decided to attend the fair since it was presented as an opportunity to learn more about the Galician naval sector and attract companies interested in internationalizing their services through the business opportunities offered by the multilateral market.

The companies that were identified with the greatest potential for access to international tenders were informed about the operations of the International Tenders and Alerts Service (SALT) run by the Confederation of Businessmen of Galicia (CEG) in agreement with the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (IGAPE). ).

The various international organizations such as the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank or the United Nations offer the private sector a series of business opportunities that may be unknown to Galician companies and, therefore, dissemination and information work is essential to increase the possibilities of internationalization of the Galician business fabric.
