Conxemar 2024 Fair

The Conxemar 2024 International Fair held its 25th edition in Vigo on October 1, 2 and 3, reaffirming its position as one of the most outstanding events worldwide in the frozen seafood and fishing industry. This year, the event brought together more than 750 exhibiting companies from over 40 countries, highlighting its global projection and its ability to attract the main players in the sector.

Conxemar has established itself as an indispensable forum for wholesalers, distributors, importers and exporters seeking to strengthen their presence in the global seafood market.

In parallel to the fair, the 12th edition of the Conxemar-FAO International Congress was held, which addressed crucial issues such as sustainability and presented the SOFIA 2024 report. Organized in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), this congress has become an essential meeting for those who promote responsible and sustainable practices in fisheries and aquaculture, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Presence of the Alerts and International Tenders Service (SALT)

In this edition, the Alerts and International Tenders Service (SALT) of the Galician Confederation of Employers (CEG) attended the fair with the aim of promoting the service that the CEG, in agreement with the Galician Institute of Economic Promotion (IGAPE), provides to Galician companies. This service facilitates their participation in international tenders, boosting their expansion in foreign markets.

Multilateral organizations such as the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the United Nations are prioritizing the financing of projects aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in areas such as poverty reduction, access to basic services, environmental protection and the promotion of inclusive economies. In this context, sustainability practices in sectors such as fisheries and aquaculture are becoming increasingly relevant.

With this approach, the CEG team attended Conxemar with the intention of expanding and consolidating a network of strategic contacts with foreign companies linked to sustainable fisheries and aquaculture. Our purpose is to make available to Galician companies a base of key contacts in this area, with a view to promoting international cooperation and strengthening their chances of success in multilateral calls for proposals.

Don’t miss out on the opportunities offered by the multilateral market! Register on our SALT web platform and we will contact you.
